Aerial perspective view of the Naqua in Saudi Arabia at 4,485 hectares with an estimated full grow-out carrying capacity of 90,000 metric tons.
Current grow-out production is reported as being from 60,800 metric tons to 80,000 metric tons.
GPS Location Bearing: 20°17'34.7"N 39°58'32.9"E north of Al Lith, 180 kilometers south of Jeddah on the coast of the Red Sea.

Naqua has 1,024 larviculture tanks and employs a 3-phase grow-out production system with 97 nurseries, 219 pre-grow-out ponds, and 510 grow-out ponds at 10 hectares for each grow-out pond. 77 of these grow-out ponds are stocked at super-intensive density.
i.e. 60 pcs/m3 to 130 pcs/m3 is intensive shrimp farming. Over 130 pcs /m3 to 500 pcs/m3 is super-intensive, and beyond 500 pcs/m3 to 1,000 pcs/ m3 is hyper-intensive.
Beyond 1,000 pcs/m3 at 35g BW without a liquid titanium chiller to slow down metabolism is animal cruelty (AC).
>1,000 pcs/m3 at 35g is equivalent to more than 1 shrimp weighing 35g in 1 liter of culture water
i.e. >1pcs at 35g/L = AC
77 grow-out ponds at 10 hectare-meter each are equivalent to 30,800 metric tons per production cycle of combined harvested vannamei shrimp weighing 25 g in less than 100 DOC grow-out period at a stocking density of 200 juveniles/m3 estimated at an average of 80% survival.
510 grow-out ponds at 10 hectares for each pond, less 77 ponds is 433 remaining grow-out ponds which are equivalent to 34,640 metric tons per production cycle of combined harvested vannamei shrimp weighing 25 g in less than 100 DOC grow-out period at a stocking density of 40 juveniles/m3 estimated at an average of 80% survival.
30,800 metric tons + 34,640 metric tons = 65,440 metric tons per combined production cycle from all 510 grow-out ponds at 10 hectares for each grow-out pond harvesting at 25 g in less than 110 DOC.
Or at a total biomass volume of 78,528 metric tons per production cycle from all 510 grow-out ponds combined, when harvested at 30g in 110 DOC at an 80% average survival rate.
So, as reported by Jackie Linden in Feed Strategy dated, February 11, 2022, the shrimp volume production of Naqua is somewhere between 60,800 metric tons to 80,000 metric tons.
My estimate of 65,440 metric tons at 25 g to 78,528 metric tons at 30g is all within the reported range.
Not bad at all.
