In large-scale super-intensive shrimp Biofloc or RAS farming (300 shrimp/cubic meter to 600 shrimp/cubic meter) you can incorporate a central inverted funnel-shaped drainage in the design during the construction.

But if it is only shrimp farming in multiple small-scale tanks that are intensively stocked (90 shrimp/cubic meter to 130 shrimp/cubic meter) and the tanks are already constructed, you can just scoop the molt casings from time to time to reduce density, if you like.

Otherwise, just leave the molt casings where those lie. Bacterial biofilms (cohabitated by benthic detritivores) will coat those shell casings acting like biofilter media, besides the shrimps also eat the palatable parts of the shell casings.

Some people, however, will go to the extent of installing a sunken conveyor belt in intensive shrimp RAS farming to remove the shell casings.while contradictingly telling other people it's not necessary to remove the accumulated molt casings.
