Is biofloc technique complicated for aquafarmers?

Not really. It just uses a lot more horsepower in air blowers with a lot more diffusers plus paddlewheels to keep particulate solids and mixotrophic bacteria (autotrophs and heterotrophs) and other cohabitating microorganisms in suspended mixing animation at a much more productive stocking density capacity at a much higher survival rate with a little bit amenities of RAS via settling tanks loaded with tilapia as shrimp waste digesters and benthic algal scrubbers in landlock land-based indoor setting than in100% clearwater RAS under the same setting.

Your protein skimmer product lines are of great use in indoor shrimp broodstock development in nucleus breeding centers (NBC) and broodstock multiplication centers (BMC) including downstream at shrimp hatchery levels around the world and in places where there is indoor grow-out shrimp RAS.

The record to beat is 20kg/cubic meter of shrimp harvest in the commercial indoor hybrid biofloc method of shrimp farming.

That is, Biofloc-RAS via tilapia settling tanks plus undersized protein skimmers installed inline to help regulate the density of settlable suspended solids, especially at the last quarter of grow-out where feed input and shrimp waste production is at the maximum.

What I mean by undersized protein skimmers in hybrid biofloc is not big enough and not powerful enough to extract all the settlable suspended particulate solids along with the suspended biofloc microorganisms thus making the culture water clear.

And what I mean too, is that protein skimmers must be an indispensable part of a fully functional productive super-intensive indoor hybrid biofloc shrimp farming.

But conversely, one needs oversized protein skimmers that are powerful enough to extract all suspended particulate solids along with the suspended microorganisms in Clearwater RAS leaving only the attached bacteria as biofilms coating the tank surfaces and biological media in a fluidized bed or biofilter tanks.

And what I mean again is that oversized high-power protein skimmers must be an indispensable component of any Clearwater RAS at a high stocking density of shrimp farming indoors.

In summary, pertaining to the use of Protein Skimmer (PS) in indoor shrimp farming ... UNDERSIZED PS in hybrid Biofloc RAS but OVERSIZED PS is required in Clearwater RAS.
